Research and Development of a Remarkable Dietary Supplement

The immune system is a complex, multi-level defense system designed to protect the body from toxins or organisms that can damage body tissues. It was long thought that adult stem cells produced only blood cells. But now research has revealed that adult stem cells travel in the blood to areas where new cells are needed as part of the normal process of tissue maintenance and renewal. Tissue cells are constantly broken down and replaced as cells wear out or are injured. When circulating adult stem cells reach a tissue in need of new cells, they differentiate and multiply to become that type of tissue. In this way, old, worn-out or damaged cells are replaced with new cells, derived fresh from adult stem cells.

A certain normal level of circulating stem cells is believed needed to maintain normal healthy tissue. Researchers have reported that the level of circulating stem cells decreases in times of ill health, and with advancing age. When the normal level of circulating stem cells decreases, tissue may be broken down faster than it can be restored, resulting in a net decrease of tissue maintenance and associated symptoms of "age-related" degenerative changes or chronic disease. Supporting optimal levels of circulating stem cells may therefore be particularly beneficial to older adults and those who suffer from chronic stress or disease.
